            You probably know that nowadays, the choice and possibilities to select two rubbers and one blade are enormous. Once you have made your decision, the next question arises: How can I combine two (possibly very different) rubbers, and any specific blade? For this purpose, TT-SHOP.COM developed the so called bat (or racket) configurator.

            And this is how the bat configurator works:

            First, choose your blade. The blade is the heart of each table tennis racket, and is a major part of its gaming behavior. The following link contains all blades we offer, sorted by brands:

            When clicking on green (font) products, you can choose whether the rubbers shall be mounted or not. Choosing table tennis rubbers (next to the blade, the rubbers are also extremely important to optimize the racket according to your gaming style) follows the same proceedings. The Joola K5 is a high-tech table tennis blade, and is - considering offensive blades - one of the best-sellers. During offensive strokes, it behaves fast as well as direct, and develops a huge amount of dynamics whilst providing a great feeling for the game.

The classical veneer structure is based on 5 veneers made of Limba and Samba. With an overall weight of about 85 g, the K5 is quite light, and is characterized by a pleasant ball feedback.

Limba is a tree usually native to regions south of the equator. The trees exhibit a height of up to 45 m, and their trunk reach a diameter of up to about 1.5 m. Although Limba is medium-hard (Janka hardness: 430), medium-dense (520 kg/m3), and quite strong (Young´s modulus: 9,400 N/mm2). This emphasizes the suitability of this blade as an offensive minus (Off-) blade. Furthermore, Limba is known as a topspin wood, which is also quite fast, but not very elastic / springy. Furthermore, Limba has a soft feeling, and quite a bit of control.

Samba (a.k.a. Abachi, Obeche, or Ayous) is a tree which grows in tropical regions of West Africa, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, and so on. Samba trees reach a height of 50 m, and exhibit a trunk diameter of up to 1.5 m. Samba wood is relatively light (350 kg/m3), medium-strong (Young´s modulus: 6,800 N/mm2), and medium-hard (Janka hardness: 430). As TT veneers, Samba is well-known for its positive gaming properties. The moderate heaviness and moderate hardness induce a pleasant feedback and feeling of the ball. This is particularly important during passive blocks, the short-short play, and during long ball rallies.

Located within the handle, there is another special feature of the Joola K5: The RAG (Round About Grip) technology, which is a kind of honeycomb system integrating the complete blade into the handle. This considerably minimizes and absorbs unpleasant as well as disturbing vibrations/oscillations, enabling a perfect hold (grip) in your hand. This results in an immense amount of control.

The K5 TT blade is said to exhibit a good balance between speed and control. Because of its high speed, it is still an offensive blade, which may be characterized as "Off" or "Off-" (variable range of application).

Within the K series from Joola, the K5 provides the most control. TT-Shop.com recommends the Joola K6 for those of you who desire a bit more penetrating power. Finally, the Joola K7 exhibits the highest amount of penetrating power within all K-series TT blades.

The following overview shows all Joola K models, and their main differences:

  • Joola K5: A TT blade with good control, power, feedback, and speed. Without any additional materials (just wood). Gaming style: Off/Off-.
  • Joola K6: The K6 is a purely offensive table tennis blade! Due to the implementation of Texalium, it is stiffer and faster than the K5. Gaming style: Off.
  • Joola K7: Due to the material Carbon NetT, the K7 exhibits a very direct touch, and even more speed than the K6. For these reasons, this table tennis blade is designed for the uncompromising offensive (Off+).
